This has become a second "safe forum" for me
I am usually a Lounge Lizard, cause i feel safe in posting whatever i want, and having people accept it. except in the case of religion. in here, i can seriously read and talk about faith without hearing a bunch of "cloud being" and "you are all sheep" junk. I started a thread about a progressive christian group a few months ago; i dont know if this is what came of it or not, but in any case, i'm glad it's here

3. I'm a Cubmaster...
...working on the same thing. If I admitted I were both a Christian and involved with the Boy Scouts "out there" in the rest of DU, I shudder to think what would happen! :-)

But I believe that current BSA leadership in acting contrary to spirit of the Oath and Law and that they must be opposed from within. There's a lot of other Scouters who feel the same way.

4. yeah
unfortunately, the BSA seems to think that "reverent" means "literalist baptist".

i did start a thread in the lounge asking who else was/is a scout, and it was ALL positive feedback, no attacks. i think most people are willing to accept that the BSA is a great organization, but with fundamental flaws
