Animation Show 4
Has anyone gone to see Animation Show 4 yet? If not, go see it!!! I saw it today and it was just incredible...the show kept me laughing the whole time. As usual there were shorts from Bill Plympton and PES, but unfortunately, nothing from Don Hertzfeldt (as in previous years) as he is no longer associated with the show. It's a great hour and a half show, make time to see it!

For those that are not familiar, Animation Show is a collection of animated shorts from independent filmmakers that is shown around the country every year. It is the brainchild of Don Hertzfeldt and Mike Judge (of "Beavis and Butthead" and "King of the Hill" fame), and it is currently in its fourth year. I've seen it every year and the variety of unique, original, and brilliant animation presented by these filmmakers never ceases to amaze and entertain me. See www.animationshow.com for more information (where the full schedule is also posted).

Here are the current and upcoming dates, for any that may be interested:

Starting today (July 4): San Francisco, Berkeley, Atlanta, St. Louis
July 18 and 19 only: Omaha
Starting July 25: New York and Denver
Starting July 31: Stamford, CT
Starting August 15: Minneapolis

For those that are interested, Animation Shows 1 to 3 are out on DVD now.

Don't miss this show, folks! :)
