Looking for easy animation software.
Hello group.
I'm a real rookie at this. (understatement of the year)
Can anyone recommend an easy program to turn web graphics into animations?

TIA
Libby

1. Can you be more specific?
Most web graphics are heavily compressed .jpg or .gif format files.
You can create simple animations using the .gif format as it has a limited color palette and file size.
Ulead has one, for example: http://www.ulead.com/ga/trial.htm.
But I'm sure there are free ones out there.

The defacto standard for web animations these days is Macromedia Flash.
Unfortunately, there are no cheap ways of getting the program unless you are a student.

Good luck
Cletus

2. AnimationShop 3 is quite decent for animated gifs.
It's 39 bucks alone, or it comes bundled with PaintShopPro. I'd highly recommend the bundle for about a hundred bucks.
AnimationShop3

For flash animations, SWiSH Max is a very affordable alternative to Macromedia/Adobe Flash. (100 bucks)

You should also check out ToonBoom's stuff because they take a more traditional approach to animation(onion skins) and it can produce flash files.
