1942 propaganda toon - Superman as saboteur
Superman is responsible for several acts of sabotage at the Yokohama Navy Yard in Japan. Lois Lane is held hostage but Superman saves the day. Animation by William Bowsky and William Henning. Music by Sammy Timberg. Produced in 1942

3. I agree, I inherited a very large book of every Flash Gordon...
...comic ever printed and one day (about 15 years ago, it's been a while) I decided to read them all. It was really interesting how Ming The Merciless' henchmen changed from fairly average bad guys to stereotypes of Japanese (exaggerated slanted, squinty eyes, buck teeth, etc.) during the war.

During wartime, everything in a culture is touched. Sometimes obviously, sometimes, less obviously so.
