Animation vs. Simulation
There was Technology magnet school which offered a 4 year Animation program, but half way through the program, it became more of a Simulation program, than Animation. I understand that the private military-industry has an interest in students with Simulation background, for obvious reasons, but I wondered what exactly were the similarities and differences between the two?

1. I'm guessing here
but I'd bet it is in the programming and algorithims that mimic real vehicles/people, etc.
Typically commercial animation is cartoony/arcadey exaggerated... IOW, people can't really jump that high or take that much punishment.
The difference is between playing Battlefield 2 and Unreal Tournament, for example.
