This is my first night's work of a black and white study (pencil on masonite).

2. Second Night Drawing

The long pause was due to work. I only get to paint or draw in the evenings, primarily weekends.

I decided to scan the sketch rather than use my digital camera. the glare was washing out the contrast. Using a scan bed will eliminate the glare. So, I scanned the rendering in four pieces, because the drawing is rendered on a 16" x 24" board of masonite. Then I spliced all four scans together in photoshop for the web optimized JPEG you see hear:
