My Senior Thesis Show...

Hi! I didn't realize we had an artist's group at DU. It's good to meet all of you :)

I've posted artwork from my senior thesis show to my blog. The show was all about metaphysics and different ways of looking at reality. It was really cool, because I never sold anything before, and I sold four prints at the opening. It was a real blessing.

I have been a closet artist for a few years now and I am getting ready to come out.

I will post some of my art when my home network is up and running. I just moved.

Today I am spraying a few of my pieces with a finish. Then on to the framing.

Your work is inspiring to me. It is Alex Grey like.

4. Thanks. I actually sold one more print by PM after posting this!

I've been thinking about selling my work on ebay, but have been turned off by how little most of them go for! I'm in the DC area, so I guess I'll try the galleries around here and see what happens.

I'm just starting out as an artist really, so it's both exciting and a bit scary right now. I guess that's life all over though!

5. Suggestion for Ebay. Make it look like lots of people buy your art

and you're semi-famous. Do a big thing on the "About Me" page. Have a list of where your art is shown and a list of shows, etc. People will pay a little more for "famous" people. There are a few professional artists there (at least the last time I looked - about a year ago) getting some really good prices.

8. they're 30 x 40" at 300 dpi...

I could slide with 200 dpi, but if I go to the professional printer's, you can see the difference. It makes lag-time a little slower to have such big files, but I think it's worth it for the quality of output I get
