6. The power went out and I walked around the block to check it out.
My block was on the dividing line and this was at the other end. Everyone behind me had power. I liked the "atmosphere". :)

10. That damned power in that area went out with a moth's fart!
Fucking hurricane force wind...FINE. Summer/winter breeze....bzztt...darkness! I can honestly say that was one of the more annoying things I encountered while living there.

4. Close.
It's in the Bywater, the next neighborhood downriver, looking toward the Industrial Canal.

7. I know it well. I lived in the Marigny and Dauphine was one of my cross-streets.

8. I was at the R Bar in the Marigny last week and it felt like I'd gone out of town.
I'm getting too comfortable in the Bywater.

9. LOL!!!
Too funny! It is amazing how each little area has its own culture. To a visitor it might not be obvious, but if you live there, you can tell.

5. Thanks, Mira!
I probably should have run home and grabbed a tripod and done it right, but I didn't know how long the power would be out.:)
