2. This seems to be purely decorative
since it doesn't really function as something to hold onto while using the stairs. Curious.

I thought you were making a declarative statement about some of the more frustrating times of our lives ---

(joking aside, I will show this to a friend of mine, who is an immigrant German blacksmith who loves beautiful wrought iron work and the last time I saw him he had a Kodak around his neck and said he had branched into photography)

I'm glad you like the shot. Brooklyn Heights has a lot of charm, but I wasn't able to capture much of it.

I'm back in Europe already...in Normandy.

On the way to JFK airport I snapped this picture through a window of our bus.
