You guys (and gals) better never let me run a contest...
I put together my collection of fall photos for your perusal

. . . and promptly posted it (my first poll ever) . . . in GD

Wondered why there were lots of votes almost instantly.....

Then I asked the mods to move it, and it went to the Lounge. :banghead:

In case it never makes it here, here is a link:

1. I picked "Harvest 2"
just because I really like naturally occurring dried flower arrangements.

3. Crazy...like a fox!
What a "mistake!" Not only do you get lots more feedback on your poll than anyone else does, but you get it from the Lounge Lizards...the eventual voters in the real polling.

Personally, I think that the contest should be delayed so that everyone who put up a poll in this little enclave can re-locate theirs to the Lounge as well. After all, why should one person have the test-marketing advantage? ;-)

4. Yea. What he said

I put my poll in the 9/11 forum. Got accused of being a CIA agent trying to throw them off the MIHOP evidence. Only had 3 votes before the thread got locked.

5. Dear CIA agent...

(You should have told them the photos came from Shankesville, Pennsylvania -- that would have made them on-topic. ;-) Besides, didn't I out you as a Republican mole last week? Now you're a CIA agent, too! Oh, the shock...and awe...)

6. Sounds fine to me...
But it really was pure klutziness - and I've been informed that it cannot be moved by the mods to the forum. (So far, the poll has picked the one I expected to enter anyway).

That little "oops" has been interesting. A couple of photographers I haven't seen around here have been commenting. Maybe they'll drop in!

I voted for Harvest 1. Reminds me of Iowa. Has a true Fall "feel" to it, but I'm biased because of my own personal attachment toward certain memories that have stayed with me.

All wonderful.... and I can see why you and most of your votes liked Potential.

Truthfully.... I think your "oops" was pretty kewl. You got a lot of feedback in a short amount of time. And if you managed to drag a few new people into the dark abyss known as "The DU Photography Group"... then that'd be an added bonus.

8. That 's probably why I have been so attracted to that field
season after season. I pass it daily on my way to work, and have really enjoyed watching it go through the seasons. A tad hilly for my Nebraska hometown memories (near Grand Island), but certainly close to some of the I-80 scenery (minus a few trees) I passed regularly on the trek to Lincoln to visit grandparents.
