I don't know what the meaning is, it's just cool.

1. That is also very funny. And clever. In NC you would find that sort of thing
in Asheville.
The truth: they did not want to call Goodwill.

Too much information department:
In my town, I set something on the curb, and by the time I walk back to the front door some brakes are squeaking. My town, yesterday, got the distinction of being the third in having the most hungry people nationwide.
It makes me sad, helpful and grateful.

2. They came from trees and now are back on trees? (the wood)
Interesting.

Maybe something about waste? Wood chairs discarded and found and placed on the trunk?

Maybe back to its origins kind of thing?

Money doesn't grow on trees but chairs come from them...and chairs cost money and wasting a resource by tossing out chairs that still have use?

Maybe the only message is chairs/wood/tree..something whimsical.
