Howdy, photo group folks. Soon it will be time for the annual “Scenes of Winter” competition. Everybody got their photos ready? Oh, that's not many, not many. You guys are in big trouble out there.

But the good news is you still have time! So start clicking those shutters and making those photos so DU can be proud!

Here at 50°27′00″N 30°31′24″E, it's been just a middling winter, with a lot of skies of gray and mud of brown. If your winter's been like that, that's OK too. Start searching those archives then!

I'll be looking to open submissions sometime around February 1. It might start a couple days sooner or later. Weather permitting... (just kidding about the weather permitting)!
