Baltimore National Aquarium
Edited on Wed Sep-28-05 10:49 AM by intheflow
I had a day in Baltimore before I went to DC for the march. So I picked up the camera and headed out to the aquarium.

When you walk in, there's a panel display featuring a lit photo of earth. Unable to break the reflection photo habit, I shot it reflected in the shark tank. "As on earth, so below."

I found Nemo!

This is called a brain coral. It actually looks like it pulses in the water flow. Ewwww!

I actually took this shot for the green coral on the rock on the left, like an underwater shamrock. The fish speeding by were just a happy accident, I like the way they look.

My best coral shot by far.

My best shot of the day, and not a fish in sight. Love the froggies!

5. I think he's getting ready to say...
"Damn, it's boring being a frog in a glass cage in Baltimore!" LOL! The frogs didn't move once the 5 minutes I was in front of them talking with one of the aquarium volunteers.

3. I LOVE the Baltimore Aquarium!
They just finished renovations, and the new rainforest is GREAT! On Friday's after 5pm it's only $5 to get in. I love it. I hope you liked my town!!!

4. I was heartbroken to learn that the Red Sox
were playing the Orioles the day after I went to the aquarium--which was the day I moved to DC to get ready for the march. This Massachusetts native/Denver transpant would have loved the chance to see my home team play in historic Camden Yards. :(

But really, if that's the worst thing I can say about Baltimore, it must be one heckova town. :) I did enjoy hanging out on the waterfront a great deal. Ate at G&M twice. I miss seafood living land-locked in Colorado.

6. Baltimore is actually pretty cool.
I sometimes focus only on the bad things, but overall its a nice place to be. I wouldn't want to actually LIVE downtown again, though. x(
