gray morning in DC
Gravelly Point watching the planes fly out...

lined up ready to go

parked my bike at the boat launch

fishing and bonding at the same time

Union Station last night picking up my daughter coming in from Vermont

1. You remind me of myself when I first came around here and my
excitement knew no bounds. I hope you don't mind my saying that. To find a place where my stuff was looked at and valued and where I could come and bring it was making me so happy.
Still does.

I love the still life with the bike.
And the Union station ceiling shots, they make me remember anti Bush marches in Washington and grateful that that part is over.

2. yup
I am just learning about photography and I know much of my stuff is just snapshots but I am so excited about everything and so I take advantage... I feel like I can here and no one will be cruel... will just not bother lingering over the so, so stuff.

I know that I am capable of a good shot once in awhile and will get better. Mostly, my life is so rushed that I don't take the time required to do it right... it will come.

Along with my excitement about photos is my overwhelming delight and wonderment for all the things I see around me and I have so little time left to do all I want (figure I only have 30 +/- years left as my grandmother lived to be 90) I still have to get my farm established and up and running...

3. Exactly - when I first came here I was so grateful for a learning
environment and kindness. I learned more from the things that got no feedback than from anything else.
Still do.

BTW
30 plus years is a lot!!!

4. The last two
are really beautiful, I think. Been remiss in commenting here recently, but a tight schedule has interfered. I'm very happy I deferred going to bed long enough to see those shots.
