| Some sandhill cranes on a rainy day |

It's drizzly here today, but we went for our five-mile walk anyway and were rewarded with FIVE sandhill cranes, some pipers and a bunch of ducks. I guess that's why they call them water birds. :) Here are a few shots of the cranes. They are magnificent. A bit far out for totally sharp pictures, but I'm still pleased. They feed in front of the incoming tide.
