If I ever again win a contest
Edited on Thu Apr-22-10 10:17 PM by Mira
here's what I'll do.

First I'll state ALL the rules we are about to determine or reaffirm.

Then I'll determine the theme (stairways of course), and
I'll stipulate larger photos, 1000 longest side

I'll encourage every voter to leave a comment, if they want, about how they like the larger size

I will allow no frames except to CC, because she understands the difference between a necessity for showing a crop and placement under white circumstances.

I will make arbitrary decisions enjoying complete impunity for anything that comes up, and insist on being obeyed.

And I will insert an almost unobtrusive, very very tiny consistent line drawing logo of Robb's desk in the right hand corner of each photo that passes my muster for submission, to show we are a really cohesive group.
If you got from this last one that I won't accept what I don't like, you are right.

Now that you know all this, go ahead and vote for me with enthusiasm.

M

1. OK
Pour yourself some wine, snack on some Melba rounds and swiss cheese, then fall asleep while watching Project Runway.

2. Like a moonshiner...
You've distilled out the essence of the discussion. And what you have is pretty much the pure version of what makes folks dizzy.

3. Will we get...
Will we get extra points for shooting in such a way that Robb's desk is an integral part of the photo?

4. You have me on everything EXCEPT
Stairways.

Are you trying to lose my vote or something?

5. Telling it like it is:
I wish I COULD call a stairway contest, because since I could not enter it, I'll get over it.
Some of my personal favorite shots are of stairways.
I would not be able to chose and I would drive y'all nuts with pre-contest "help me" posts.
==
So, on a lighter note, you would be OK with me personally rejecting entries I don't like?

8. good enough
And I like stairways too and it really should be a theme. As should "what might be on Robb's desk".
