1. Was it a hit?

This actually makes me want to go to a baseball game (with camera in hand).

Perfect timing on this--like capturing a bird catching a fish. :evilgrin:

2. In fact it was!

A single to right. The camera I use (Sony DSC-H2) is what I'd consider a starter camera for a person serious about taking better pictures. I say that because even though I've a lot to learn,there are times when I discover the lens isn't strong enough for some shots I take. The settings are still a bit of a challenge (figuring out how to change them, you have to go through a menu). Also, the shutter doesn't snap immediately when the button is pushed. Because of that, for this kind of picture I've had to learn to time the release of the ball from the pitcher.
In this case however, it works fine :)
The other thing is, at the high school level, the games are free and you can get up close for pictures.

3. I love candid action shots best!

My camera is a challenge to me as well, with the menu and options.

I get the feeling that the *right* team won this game, LOL. I hope?

I wish digital photography had been around when my kids did sports.
