Vancouver 2010 (Days 2-4): Holidays Canceled
So I go to this fight, and a hockey game breaks out... Oh wait, this isn't the NHL. Nevermind...

Women's hockey fans:

Fences, fences everywhere. At least they tried to make this one pretty:

HC already posted about this community garden-turned-art project earlier this week, but here's my take on it.

Who:

Nothing is as it seems:

Holidays Canceled:

1. That's too bad - he's probably going to need an enforced holiday soon, standing
on a ladder like that :)

What does "Nothing is as it seems" mean? That "Nothing is like nothing"? -- Just kidding, but that way of phrasing it seems a little strange.

Are those supposed to be owls, or is my brain just seeing owls because of the "who" sign? :) Regardless, they look like cute owls to me.

2. They might be owls
Hadn't thought of that. The right one reminds me of Wall-E.

The guy on the ladder is the artist's father and was doing some kind of show. We didn't stick around for it, but it involved a rubber snake round his neck. Y'know, you might be right about that enforced holiday.

I've heard the phrase "Nothing is as it seems" before. Taken literally, it does sound funny. AFAIK, it means "Question everything".
