In a reflective mood
It's good to finally get out and about to shoot some photos. It's been grey, rainy, and miserable here for a while. (Typical winter for us here.) Admittedly it's still grey but somehow less miserable. Here's a subset of the photos from today's outing. I'll probably post the other photos in the next few days.

Submerged

Reaching out

V times 2

Multiple incursions

Double crossed

2. The last two
are particularly eye catching. The last one is such a perfect reflection that it would an interesting and surreal composition if it were rotated 90 degress CCW. Just to mes with people's heads. :-)

5. Here's some rotated versions
Here's one 90 degrees ccw:

90 degrees cw:

And 180 degrees:

I personally think the last one is the most interesting because to me, just looking at it I get the feeling there's something a bit wrong with the image but if I didn't know exactly what was done, it'd take a little while to figure out. I think it's the "horizon" being lower than the reflection line of the fallen tree. That and the lighting.

3. These are disorienting, just as they should be,
I like them all, after studying them the last two are my favorites, and I second the idea of rotating the last one, just for fun.

I have rotated some reflection shots by 180degrees and then cropped them- fun stuff happens.
But this is not to say they are not perfect as they are.

6. My favourites as well
Looks like you, Mz Pip, and I have the same favourites. That's actually why they're last - I wanted to end with what I thought were the strongest ones. I wonder if I'm beginning to show a preference towards reflections the same way some people show a preference towards stairs or birds... And I don't think I need to mention any names... :)

4. oh my gosh
Can't tell what is reflection and what isn't until I look very closely. Love seeing all these together in one thread! It's fun.
