1. Love that splash of colour at the end of the tunnel, so to speak
It really draws my eye down and holds my attention, taking in all the details. I'm also happy to discover I'm not the only one fascinated by those mirrors. It's interesting comparing the street in front with the one reflected in the mirror. One seems so busy and lived in and the other so empty in comparison. Almost like different worlds.

2. That's a very good description of those mirrors.
It's annoying that the photographer has to be in the shot, this photographer at least, but with the field of view of these things, it's impossible to get out of the frame.

7. It _can_ be done... but it ain't easy
and you have to use your cloaking device.

3. That first one vaguely reminds me of both Italy and NYC simultaneously. I love everything
going on in the third one.

4. I agree with Tindalos
The dark alley is a great frame for the bright color in the light. This is a really appealing picture.

As for the security mirror, I'm so intrigued with them I posted a picture of the inside of Walgreen's once.

5. I like them all, for sure.
the fist and third are dazzling, when I look at the first, in spite of the color on the obviously well kept building I can smell the urine in the alley.

10. Technical question
Jeff, that first picture is a lighting condition that i have nothing but trouble with. Dark mixed with light.
Can I ask how you metered that? Any special tricks for getting it all exposed well without any washouts or underexposed areas?
Thanks!

12. This was shot with evaluative metering, which I think is similar to
Nikon's matrix metering. The histogram was well balanced, but was just a touch too far to the right. I backed off the exposure half a stop in RAW and that was about it. There was just enough light in the alley itself to capture detail.
