Does anyone know where I can find a USB cable to fit my Fujitso S8000 fd camera?
It appears Ritz Camera (where I have been buying my cameras) has gone the way of Sharper Image & I need to get a USB cable to unload pics from this beast.

Any ideas?

1. It doesn't use a camera card??
Does it have an internal memory, and the photos are there? I had a camera like that, but the menu allowed me to transfer to the card.

I've gotten to the point that I don't do transfers any way but with the card reader. But, I don't know anything about the Fujitso.

I just know that my first digital camera (nice Kodak pocket camera) lost the ability to transfer images by cable, actually I actually put the camera in my pocket and the connections got dirt on them. I went to transferring by card and liked it better.

2. I can take the card out of the camera, but I would prefer to use
a USB cable. I'd be willing to bet that taking the card in and out to get pics off the card will create additional problems in the long run.

3. so, they discontinued their cameras
It might not have helped you if the store was still in business. You can look on Ebay and other places on line, but I have learned that this cable is not standard, and their camera line is discontinued. Other than online searches, I don't know. I would imagine that most cables also come with a camera. But, don't give up. Somewhere out there, maybe at a used camera place, is a USB cable for your camera.

I pretty much doubt that using a card reader causes problems, though. Admittedly it takes a tiny bit more time than connecting a cable. It is better than ditching the camera. Again, I do that all the time, and have had no problems. And, with the cable? Yep, problems.

4. Thanks for the advice.
I still have Veterans Day pics I need to unload. Perhaps I'll see if I can find my card reader.

5. Luckily, there aren't too many types of USB cables.
If your manual states this...

=====>> USB 2.0 Type A Male to Mini B 8 Pin Flat Male

Then this looks like it should work...
