I watched two war related episodes. I didn't realize how many episodes focused on war related themes (the brutality and the sadness).
It made me think about our country and the 1,000,000 plus people we have killed in Iraq (and I know many more places, Iraq is the one that sprang to mind), not to mention maimed, orphaned, emotionally crippled...add in the devastation of their land. It is so sick. Frankly, I don't think that this country will ever find itself again until it looks at its past with humility and responsibility. But, I don't know how likely that is....I just saw a poll where nearly 80% of the population thought the Hiroshima bomb was justified. Our karma is really heavy.
