How to override image stabilization
1. Get on bass boat with a husband whose main motivation is catching fish.

2. Take one electric motor that does acrobatic things like making the boat spin in circles.

3. Take one Canon Shot SX10, bought for purpose of taking pictures of birds from boat, in zoomed mode of course.

4. Take one said bass boat onto the Tennessee River into the middle of the wildlife refuge.

Results: This will have to be my "movement" entry if we ever have a contest like that. Well, either that or "What is it?"

1. Beautiful image, though.
IS isn't the be all and end all, really.

4. Thanks All!
Believe me, all my other "image stabilization overrides" have ended up in the recycle bin.

To say that this result was unintentional is an understatement, but I'll take it.

It's called being an "accidental photographer"--something akin to the story of the monkey, the typewriter, and the encyclopedia.
