Poll question: My NEW, IMPROVED, THIS-TIME-I-REALLY-MEAN-IT "Help me pick my 'Green' contest entry" poll. ..
;-)

(When I first decided to lock my initial poll, it was because I had left one of my picks out of it. Afterwards, I found out I was wrong...I had left two of my picks out of it.

:dunce:

What I'm going to do this time around is take the four top finishers in the last poll -- in other words, everything that had three votes or more -- and add the two picks I accidentally left out last time. Since I'm starting from scratch, even if you voted in the last go-round, please do so again.)

Fern

Forest Path

Forest Floor

Hole-in-the-Wall Falls

Sol Duc Cascades

Nooksack Creek

1. How can I possibly choose?
These are ALL wonderful!

My personal favorite is the Hole-in-the-wall Falls. But that's because of the water...

Fern or Forest Path are my favorites otherwise...they illuminate green beautifully.

You do fabulous, gorgeous work, dammit.

:hi:

2. Hole in the Wall Falls
It has most everything in it. No ferns, but I have so many ferns here that they don't impress me much. I like the way the falls divide the picture in two. The falls themselves make it unlike a lot of landscapes............also, the falls look serene instead of threatening. I feel drawn into the picture.

But, great job on all of these!

3. When it comes to the theme "green" - 1 and 3 and 5 fit the bill the best to me
Of those three, I like photo 5 the best. Almost a tossup for the next two, but I lean towards the forest floor. The Fern is fabulous, but lacks your personal stamp, I would not have known who shot it. On the others I think I would.

4. That "forest path" looks so uncannily like a photo I have
that I took down around Alyeska Ski Resort that I just have to vote for it. :) They're all beautiful, though.

wow.

I'm rooting for Hole-in-the-Wall personally.

6. You guys don't believe in making it easy for me, do you...?

I also find it interesting that the top vote-getter in the previous poll is getting shut out this time. (And I was expecting Forest Floor to be at the top of the voting as well...so much for my predictive ability!)

7. I noticed that about the ferns
I have to completely agree with Mira that the fern picture seems too generic to enter. It's certainly eye pleasing, but just doesn't have the extra something to make it a winner.

I think what these polls and comments do is prove the adage "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder." All of us "behold" a bit differently.

On the other hand, since you won the summer contest, maybe some people are trying to throw the results of your poll.

9. Question.
You really get a 3-D feeling in your shots. Is it increased depth of field, using your tripod, a better camera or are you just a damned good photographer?
