4. It's Big Bear Lake, about 125 miles from Los Angeles. Paradise at 6700 feet.

I'm told we're in for an El Nino this winter, so it should be interesting up here. During the last one they accumulated 10 feet of snow.

It's hard to believe that one can find such beauty such a short distance from Los Angeles.

It got HOT here today. 80 degrees!

Wow what a difference in temps. What part of OR are you from? I spent a couple of nights in The Dalles before (got snowed in on my way from Lewiston, ID to Portland), a most awesome place!
