Sunday morning beach rugby

My son-in-law was a professional rugby player in his younger days, playing in Australia, Hong Kong, Great Britain, some other places I think ... and most importantly Santa Monica where he met my daughter. :) These days he still likes to play a bit of beach rugby with the boys on Sunday morning. Blue_in_CA and I took these photos.

2. I knew nothing about rugby before Riaz came into our lives,

but it's a great sport. I still don't understand it completely, but it's really fun to watch. And those guys are TOUGH. None of that sissy padding and helmets.

I've never seen rugby played on sand before. That must hurt.

I have enough trouble even walking in sand.
