"The Lonely Red Schoolhouse..."
This was found on a family farm a few miles south of where I live. Obviously, there used to be a town named Kummer there, which has all but vanished into the city of Black Diamond a couple of miles east. I have no idea why the schoolhouse was preserved on private property, nor why it was painted with that description. I wish I could have taken this photo from a higher vantage point, so you could more clearly see Mount Rainier just over the "lean-to" part of the schoolhouse on the right. Unfortunately, I didn't see any handy stepladders nearby...
