2. It's new to me.
You might want to look into Mozy. They have been around for at least two years, I think. I've been using it one year plus.

If your needs are small, they have a free 2GB backup plan. I've been using this.

Then there's an unlimited plan for $5 a month. And it's pretty much automatic and does it's thing without you having to think about it.

4. Okay, I have a question
This is a computer question, but since we are talking about files in this thread, maybe someone can help me here.

Would any of these things be useful for the following:

I started a website that probably most of you would probably think is a bit strange. Be that as it may, my intention is to sell slideshows where a person's picture is incorporated into the slideshows. Basically there are four slideshows, in MPEG-1 format.

The largest one is about 100mb. The others are between 60mb and 75 mb.

What I have been doing is putting it on a CD as a video CD and mailing it to people. While that seems a little cumbersome, a lot of people may not want to download files unless it is really simple or something.

Would something like this be a good idea? What would be a cheap, easy, file sharing site? I wouldn't mind having off site backup, too, but could I make the slideshows, put them in a separate place and get people to download them easily? I don't want to spend much money on this as I have no idea how to market these things, and don't know what the demand would be.

5. I think this depends upon what you are entrusting to them
Backup for photos, I see no problem. Storage for house inventory documentation, probably not a problem. Would I entrust documents that contain personal information, probably not.
