Poll question: The requisit gate/door poll
Spider gate. This is what I actually went out to shoot.

But then I ended up shooting these, too.
Door Number One

Door Number Two

Door Number Three

Door Number Four

1. No poll for my choices. 1 and 3 equally. 1 with some fill light to show
more of the walls - and I would if I could go back and re-shoot number 3 with the left door casing included, and a few options of having the second door opened just a little. Shoot and play.
I really think number three has awesome possibilities.

I found my entry today, and felt let down, because once I made my decision I can't think about it any more. I wanted to actually go and re-shoot some I had rejected, in different light, but all of a sudden one I took last year was the right one and it's over for me.

Good luck.

5. Door number three was problematic
I couldn't get back far enough, even with a 28 mm lens, to get the entire frame. There was also a sign down the corridor that I blocked out by shooting from that angle. That one, to quote Jack Nicholson, is as good as it gets.

2. Spider gate for sure..
But I'd like to see the whole thing, it's so unusual that it's a shame we can't see it all.

3. but if we saw the whole thing
would we get to see those cool shadows on the side of the stone? I really like that part of it.

6. I shot the spider gate from several angles
Dead on is pretty boring. It really is the shadows that make this photo. Although I might try lightening the stone a bit and see what happens.
