Twittering about my day in pictures....here's what I needed just one of my ladders for
I put the graphics on the windows from a step stool, and I'm not tall enough to comfortably reach the top from that. It was a beautiful day, but quite windy, and I had a number of homeless drifters asking to help me while I was struggling.
It actually, in spite of picture which I think is pretty, was a difficult day today.
And not having a ladder mattered.
I will not post any photos for a week, that is a promise, unless something utterly unexpected happens.
:)

1. Well I for one
Didn't expect to see posts about ladders...

If ya take a week off - it'll be our loss.

I think its a pretty picture too!

2. YEAH - kind comment - perpetual winner you ! Here is what I'm thinking:
I have been around since the election went our way, and I started to discover there are forums on DU :).

I found one (Photography) that hooks a part of my soul and history that has not had expression outside the family

I am a stranger in a strange land that has real pros, and they are kind to me
(I best not annoy them with overexposing myself)

And I am learning a whole lot by being on the forum and the presentation of my photos has gotten a lot better because
I am learning about proper cropping, b/w alternatives, and what is and is not a worthwhile shot

I don't want to be too exuberant and risk a chance of you not looking or clicking on my posts just because "here she goes again"

We all learn from each other, and I think I have stuff to contribute. What I hopefully can contribute at this time is some humor in acceptable photos,
or just another vantage point.
Onward and upward, and thanks for the acceptance and inclusion extended to me.

3. Don't be reticent about posting "too much."
You have a good eye, as well as a good heart, and that combination is what makes this forum so valuable to us who have been here for a while. As for quantity, the more the better. We like looking at good works by others and offering help when we can.

5. Yes, a ladder would make that endeavor easier.
Maybe you could as that artist to borrow a ladder. How long is his sculpture going to stand before returns the ladders?

6. It will come down in a couple of weeks. I think he did a really nice job, but
I can talk out of both sides of my mouth in looking at that temporary structure, one side says: "Life is too short to stuff mushrooms" and the implied idea that he could have taken the same energy, talent, vision and time and helped build a Habitat house or something.
The other simply says: "You gotta have art", and as my photos show the thing is nicely balanced in color and the use of space, and fun to behold.

I have one more ladder that I lent to someone else months ago. I will call it in today.
