More sad, sad tales of the March snowfall
But a decent way to try closeups with the new camera, risking life and limb on icy streets.......

Not a closeup but a neighbor's downed tree

I like the effect of the magnolias in the background

Our impassable driveway, due to a downed rosebush

1. great pics
We got some snow last night as well. I'd say it was more of an ice storm though. You could hear it hitting the windows and the pine trees were all drooped over from the weight of ice on the branches this morning. Looks like y'all got something similar.

2. we got less snow than others
Jackson TN got twelve inches. I think Nashville had a lot too. It probably seems silly to a lot of people to post snow pictures, but this was our first snow of the year, and it landed on our flowering bushes!!!

Much, much preferable to an ice storm (been there, done that, with no electricity for 12 days). Glad you have power.

3. We didn't get a whole lot where I'm at
in mid TN but it still looked nice.

From the front porch this morning:

out back:

A while later, this little dog was out having a good time. He was running around everywhere as fast as he could. :woohoo:

5. Very clean, crisp and beautiful. Great job showing the clean newly covered surface.
The third one is a real winner with the sky reflecting off the snow. Love it.
They say we have some coming as well, but I don't believe it.
Schools are already closed for tomorrow.

7. Very nice!!
Probably ruined your fruit blossoms, too. I need to take pictures of snow because it just doesn't snow every year. I bet some northerners are laughing at us. I'm outta here tomorrow and will take pics of all the snowmen. I saw one down the street with cross sections of an orange for eyes. The snow's actually going to be around on the ground at least another day or so. The streets are now mostly clear.

8. Hahahahahahahahaha

:P

(Just kidding - I used to live in Houston, Texas, so I know how nuts people go down there when a few flakes fall.)

4. Beautiful and sad. The camera in your hands does very well. That's
too much snow to blow over without leaving things unharmed. I'm sorry.
Favorites are top and bottom, but all tell the story.
