Ya know...
I really, really enjoy driving this Nissan Maxima; comfortable, handles well, strong v-6, a nice car...

That is...I really, really enjoy driving this car whenever my younger daughter isn't...which isn't very often.

And I wasn't last night.

Doesn't Billy Mays sell some kind of dent-popper/scratch-fixer? I'm wondering if that would work here...

I'm just glad nobody was injured...and that we have insurance...

2. Thanks, me too...
She couldn't believe the first thing everyone kept asking her was whether or not she was ok. She was freaked about the car, I was just worried about her.

I think the side air-bags deploying added to the shock factor...I understand it is pretty loud.

4. The estimably effective & abrasively cheerful Mr. Mays or his overlords couldn't buff that out
I'll just reiterate how good it is that nobody was hurt.

5. Amen, JeffR...
The youngster seemed surprised that I wasn't angry at her...I think a lesson was learned in the value parents place on kids over material goods.

Not that I wasn't, uh,...somewhat discouraged...

Hey, OT, but thanks again for all your hard work on the DUzy's...repeating that effort week after week must have taken enormous dedication and time.

I'm glad you were able to set it aside; it had to be eating into your quality of life. :hi:

6. I learned how a family (parents) deal with the almost unavoidable first accident
is a very critical thing in many aspects. It establishes clearly what we value the most (health, pulling together) and it allows the young person to see just what all is involved in making it OK again (if you allow her to be handling most of it herself).
The shock of a first wreck, especially one serious enough where you COULD have been hurt, many times makes it the one and only in the critical first driving years.
Congratulations on how you are handling it and I am grateful she did not get hurt in any way.

7. Shoot
We have to rejoice when the teens are not hurt.

Commence rejoicing....
