3. It's pretty cold, -7 right now, but at least the wind isn't blowing.
Some parts of town are getting down to -25 at night. We live near the water, so it's a little warmer overhere.

5. That ice makes for amazing pictures.
Just gorgeous, but I don't think I could adjust to a sun that is that low at high noon.

6. Our sun is always low except in the spring and the fall.
In the summer, it rises in the north-northeast and kind of makes a big circle to set in the north-northwest. In the winter it's just a little arc on the southern horizon.
