I am interested in learning to add textures to some photos
does anybody have any links to some tutorials or to some great texture downloads? Have you tried textures, and what was your process?

I have some photos that I would love to try some textures with, just not sure where to start.

4. That sounds like fun.
I used to make icons/avatars but haven't had time lately. My resource lists are a bit out of date. There are some really good textures and brushes posted on sites like Livejournal and DeviantArt that offer free textures. Here are a couple of sites I've used in the past: http://colorfilter.net/largetextures and http://www.hybrid-genesis.com/freebies/free_textures/index.html. Is that the kind of thing you are looking for? There are also sites devoted to tutorials that might be of some help. Also you can make your own textures fairly easily by photographing everyday things - textures, fabric, lights, etc. Just overlay in photoshop (or whatever program you use) and play with the opacity and other settings.

Hope this helps. Let us know what you come up with. Sounds interesting.

It looks like there are ghosts walking through it. Very cool.
