Nothing like that here in Kiev. Maybe out west in the Carpathians, though....

6. YES!! They aren't the most common hardwood
we have many more Copper beech, Chestnut, Elm, Ash, Larch, Birch, Walnut, Oak, Poplar, Tulip and of course, tons of Pines. The trees are very similar to the northeast parts of the US.

But I was really thrilled to see so many maples here. :D
