As far as Snopes can tell, Twain didn't actually say this (though it is often credited to him). Still, it can be true at times: beaches around The City in the summer...

1. Terrific pics!
I just got back from SF. Visited a friend and wore a long sleeved sweater and a shawl. As usual, there was fog.

doesn't have anything on summer in Anchorage this year. :( Great shots -- I love the last one.
