1. Very nice!
I'd packed my F4 and some B&W film on my trip for hopefully some good shots. Unfortunately it never materialized. Still haven't played enough in PS to get good B&W results from my digital.

2. Thanks! B&W is such a guessing game with digital.
Many ways to get good results, but it's always hard to know if you've really taken the right route with any particular shot. I miss B&W film.

3. B&W and Velvia...
are the two reasons I went (backwards?) and bought the F4.

The filters in PS don't do the things I traditionally expect in B&W. I've tried the cheap and easy convert to grayscale, as well as Lab and removing the color channels, but sometimes nothing seems to work.
