Edited on Thu Mar-20-08 10:37 AM by flamin lib

Jax

What you lookin' at?

Yeah, what of it?

Purrrrrr

Shhhhhh, don't wake me yet.

Crusin', on a Wednesday afternoon.

Love, or somethin' like it.

Just hangin'

Got no bones!

4. Kinda' soft and fuzzy--shot thru double pane glass with lots of little
hand prints plus it was 1/8 sec with nothing but the glass to act as a brace. Same with love or somethin' like it.

2. Those Are Great
I figured out a fun way to mess with the meerkats - stand between them and the sun.

5. I had some help from a by-stander. He saw me framing the shot and
made a complete idiot of himself to get the meercat to pay attention to me. Thanked him profusely!

You meet the nicest people at the zoo . . .

3. These are great.
My fav has to be the Flamingo. Great color on your part and the zoos feeding them well. It is very abstract yet you still know what it is plus even small and online there is so much detail in the feathers.

6. I'll be going back to shoot more of the flamingos. I only took the 28-90
and the 270-800 lenses to pack light. Who knew the gap between 90 and 270 would be soooooo useful. I swear they have no bones in their necks!

Jax and I had great fun, but I'll never do half-price Wednesday again. Every woman with a kid & a stroller living in Ft Worth was there. It was serious grid-lock all day.

8. Take along a pack of
Windex wipes when you go back. Takes care of those fingers/nose prints on the glass and haven't seen a zoo yet that minded you cleaning their windows.

Of course every women with a child and stroller was there. Half price and end of winter? What did you expect. lol Maybe try Tuesday or Thursday.

9. Nice series
but number 3 takes the cake! It almost looks like that meerkat is posing for the camera the way it is looking at you!
