7. So glad you enjoyed them
It is waaaay early for the tomatoes ...and I always do this......get antsy and then have to deal with Land of the Giants plants for weeks before my last frost date.
But, I HAVE to.

3. Life, Spring, growth!! What'ya got there jhain?
What's on the summer menu?

I could do a greenhouse here by my living room french doors, but my cats would destroy it. Anything green fears for its life in this household!!

9. You name it, I want it
So far, I am just taking my chances with some of last year's seed packets...leftovers.
I have not pulled the trigger on an '08 order yet.

The cats would get bored soon enough if you did it. Do it!
Do you have a southern exposure?

4. Will never get too 'macro-ed out'
The flower is beautiful and the new life emerging is .... well ... it's late and I won't say. My brain isn't connected to my typing fingers so who knows what I might "say". Leave it at... hope ... good wishes .... positive things to come ....

I'm thrilled that you're getting into using your new camera so much. Macro On!!

11. in a matter of speaking.
my greenhouse is actually someone's discarded windows- fashioned onto the side of my house. It can be accomplished QUITE inexpensively. And provides hours of macro mania:

13. Love all these photos though
this one is my favorite. Definitely keep them coming, even if some like me don't always get the time to post comments like they should.

Also I want to see a picture of the whole greenhouse now since you said you made it from discarded windows.

14. I'll take one for you tomorrow, CC.
There should be some here, too, if you have time to look:

But, I will try to show the actual construction tomorrow when the sun is out again.

15. greenhouse construction
Husband loves all solar applications... greenhouse's main function is HEAT. Built against a mass wall on a sunny day like this it PUMPS heat into the house. Even on cloudy days it still gathers some heat for us. And, of course it has its perks for the resident gardener ( that being me) and the resident furry friends. (Pet door visible to the right/bottom of the outside door)The exterior side of the wall *should* be painted black for the ultimate in heat gathering but, we compromised on the dark green. Use the box fan to blow the heat into the house, circulate air for the plants. I am not too worried about appearances, myself...But, one could use smaller fans up at the top of the door -would look 'better'.

Discarded windows screwed onto 2x4 frames...Doing this in a hurry just now, CC, ask questions!
Fondly, Jude

16. Wow that is nice.
Great job and I bet you and the pets love it in the winter. I know I would. Thanks for posting, it gives great ideas and increases the envy.:) Can't wait to show it to Terry when he gets home.

I'll be back later to look more. In the midst of making ferret food. Spoiled animals in this house. lol

17. Your macros are
always wonderful and the obvious joy you take in doing them always makes me smile. :hi:

Your greenhouse is fabulous, too! I'm am totally green with envy. We're having a new 12x 24 building added to our property and we're talking about adding a small greenhouse to the south end. I'll be referring back to yours for a little guidance and inspiration when we finally are able to do it.
