Excuse me said this big looking thing that looks like a deer






Doesn't it looked relieved in the last pic? It almost has a smile. I took these at a bison ranch about 8 miles from where I live. For the life of me I can't think of what they are, mule deer? Caribou? Reindeer? :shrug: These guys were hanging with bison.

The bison were just taking it easy that day as it was cold and rainy.

1. It looks like an elk to me...
The ears don't seem big enough for a mule deer and it's not "horny" enough to be a caribou.

Maybe there are different varieties. :shrug:

Here are some dead ones. :( The head and the antlers look different than your photo.

7. There must be different varieties. I knew about them because I
used to see them on Guam when I lived there, and the climate is tropical, unlike Alaska's.
