Hey Blue, since you are there in the great north
Edited on Fri Dec-15-06 01:59 AM by CC
please show me some pics from tonight of the Aurora Borealis since we are fogged in (and they built a f*****g power plant to the north of me with f'ing lights.} Counting on you girl.

BTW I am addicted to africam, if you haven't waited for an animal beyond birds to appear you need to check it out.

1. It was kind of foggy last night
at least by our house, so we didn't go out. Activity is supposed to be very high again tonight, and it's quite clear this morning, so we'll keep our fingers crossed. I'm really dying to get some good aurora shots, and if it looks promising, we'll probably drive north a few miles to get away from the city lights and out into the open.

2. Crossing fingers for you
for tonight then. It is cloudy here though at least the fog is finally gone. The very few times they showed this far south was neat though not as neat as pics I have seen from up your way. I am still cussing the power plant since it sits north of me. We do not get any electric from it, it all goes to VA.

3. Update - it's noon and still completely clear...
Fingers still crossed.

4. Dammit, the fog has rolled back in.
Hard to tell how it is out in the Valley though - we're close to the water so our weather isn't always indicative of how it is elsewhere.

6. Still crossing fingers then.
Glad I didn't get a chance to check back until after the fog started lifting. Our local news showed video from Minnesota last night. It was shimmering pretty heavily there and was beautiful.
