Walk day 4...and a few masters of camouflage

I cant make the birds any clearer...tried..no luck...I've got hundreds of photos of herons...never from this location...the hawk was almost a foot and a half tall...although it seems smaller...they seemed to be ok and not spooked by our presence...interesting...i put the walk off everyday...and almost return before i even get anywhere because of the discomfort...but once i start taking photos..i tend to forget.....

1. these are cool
.I particularly like the second one - that brilliant red really makes the shot.

2. I love the log photo
Its nice framing and interesting depth of field

the fall color one is pretty too.

The birds are neat but for wildlife photography you really have to have the "lens" the perfect telephoto lens.. unless you get lucky with a few shots. I've seen a few people here get a few lucky perfect shots, but they are few and in between.

I think your other two nature scenes are stronger! Both interesting and beautiful
