The clouds were/are very strange today. It would be damned near black clouds all around with a break in the middle containing fluffy white clouds and blue sky. Cold and very windy. I don't know how to change modes on the camera yet (I never RTFM until I've played with something first) so these were taken on whatever settings it shipped with.

1. I just KNEW you were in Washington...
Hey, isn't Roslyn where "Northern Exposure" was filmed? These are beautiful photographs.

3. It's exactly where NX was filmed.
That was before I lived here though.

Thanks for the complements on the photos. I was pretty impressed with them myself - and as I said I don't even know how to change settings on the camera yet. I was surprised the photos turned out that well with no tweaking anything on the camera.

4. We always got kind of a big laugh
about Northern Exposure, a show about Alaska, being filmed in Washington, especially since so much of the "Alaskana" was wrong, wrong, wrong. You gotta give them an A for effort, though, and it WAS pretty funny.

a new camera, and wide open country.....Ahhhhh, life is good.
Congrats on the new camera.
Looking forward to your posts.

5. Nicely done - especially right out of the box
The last one in particular is well composed and very dramatic. Can't wait to see some more.
