Poll question: Juxtacalifragilisticexpialidocious
Edited on Fri Apr-14-06 04:26 AM by F.Gordon
Sorry I haven't been hanging lately. Sooooo many great photos being posted.
:applause:

Can't sleep so I decided to browse my files of pixie dung looking for something for the Juxtacalifragilisticexpialidocious thing. I do have one snap I'm going to try to re-snap, but if I can't get around to it I'll be going with one of these.

Branching Out
I lke this one but I'm stressin' bout the upper right hand corner. Didn't like what a crop did and I'm not sure what the best way would be to clone (fill) in this corner.

Sir Trashalot
It is what it is. A little subtle, but that's why I like it.

Frozen
While I do have some "cliche" buggy snaps, I really wanted to get one where the buggy was in congested car traffic. During "rush hour" I guessed at the normal exit from this town (don't remember the name) and waited. Turns out I was on the wrong road :eyes: and by the time I heard the clip-clop of the horsies and rushed over it was too late. I couldn't get the buggy in the middle of traffic.. just got this one. I said I got "a little" better at panning.

The Same
I like this one but hate the way it looks. Needs to go shoppin' on this.

Nature Off Limits
Not sure if this qualifies for a Juxtacalifragilisticexpialidocious snap.

Thanks for lookin'. Thanks for voting. Any and all comments appreciated especially if you feel that one of more photos does not qualify for the Juxtacalifragilisticexpialidocious thing.
:hi:

Off to count sheep...

1. You rarely see a buggy
in the middle of a traffic jam. They are usually the first vehicle because they are causing the traffic jam. Also they pretty much know when rush hour is so most avoid major roads then, even the Amish have to worry about road rage. I like these pics, voted for Nature Off Limits though was hard to choose. Figure people might "get it".

2. But I **did*** see one in traffic jam
We turned corner into this town. Long line of cars and one buggy in turning lane. I thought THAT'S the snap I want. I couldn't stop or I would have been the cause of road rage. Tried to find a good vantage point to get that kind of snap but it never repeated itself. Well, it did... I was just standing on the wrong damn road and could only get my one bad panning snap.
:-(

Nature Off Limits? Thanks. I just threw that one in. Wasn't sure if it "worked" for the theme.

3. Never mind on me knowing anything about traffic jams.
The SO reminded me that "my" idea of a traffic jam is waiting for 6 cars to go by before I can cross Route1.:hide: We just got back from Willow Street and the traffic was driving me nuts, and its a holiday so not near the normal Friday traffic.
