First time visitor with a big question!!
Hubby and I have our eye on a Canon S2IS camera. We've never really used digitals before; he's very experienced with our Minolta that has a number of extra lenses and filters. We ride motorcycles all summer and need something portable, not easily broken (!), and that takes both stills and movies. This seems to be the one. It looks easy enough for me to use, and I'm a photography dummy.

Has anyone used one of these? The price that we've been looking at is $399.00, but I know the folks will chip in an extra card (I know the manager...)

Thanks!!

1. Don't know it, but if it does what you want it to do......
Go for it. This seems to be a frequent question around here. IMO... there are few "bad" point and shoot cameras. It's just a matter of what your budget is and what you can find within that budget. Only advice I'd offer.... read the manual. A lot of people get point & shoots and don't utilize a fraction of the capabilities of the camera. They just set it to "auto" and snap away.....

Not sure that was helpful.
