My FujiFilm FinePix 3800 won't power up any more. I recharged the batteries and tested it out before my trip to England last week and everything looked good. I arrived at Cambridge and the darned thing wouldn't power up. Put in fresh batteries and still nothing. It was sunny outside and in the mid 40s.
I may have noticed the batteries getting used up faster lately. But other than that, everything seems OK.
Is there anything simple I can do or do I have find a repair shop? Is it worth even bothering? How much of a hit can I expect? The camera cost over 300 smackeroos new a couple years ago.
...battery compartment tight. The battery door just wore out and the contacts wouldn't meet without a little help.
Repair? If you can't figure out the problem on your own... I hate to say it..... but you're probably screwed. You could probably find a used 3800 on eBay for a lot less money than it would cost to repair the thing.
