Any Wheel of Time/Robert Jordan Fans here?
I saw a note in borders the other day that a new book in the series with the new author is due Nov 3rd. I am very excited...:bounce:

1. Even though the series is really long and drawn out, I still love it

It's a fantastically put-together fantasy world with great depth to it. Whenever a new book came out, I always read through the previous books so I had it fresh in my mind what was going on. Never could find a decent synopsis of each book with the key plot points and character developments outlined, which would help.

I'm STILL going through my stack of books from Christmas, about a dozen books in all. Normally, I would have finished a dozen books by May, but having a baby really cuts into your reading time. First, it's hard to read with a baby in your lap regardless of age, and second, now that he's in the grabby stage, it is now impossible to read anything with an awake baby in your lap. He's not at the stage yet where he's content to amuse himself for a length of time.

The current book I am reading (although I have yet to crack the cover) is Neal Stephenson's Anathem, and I have a feeling I won't be done with this book until this christmas! And I still have six books in the stack under this one!

So basically, if I am going to re-read the wheel of time to get caught up for the last book, it may come out in paperback by the time I finish the penultimate volume.

Meanwhile, paging George R. R. Martin...

2. I do the same thing with the WOT books myself
They are such enjoyable reads with so much to them.
And yeah, George RR Martin is someone I am also waiting on...
