What cool Harry Potter stuff do you have?
I have a few neat things so far.

1. A hard-cover copy of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone my mom bought me from Amazon.co.uk. Yeah, there are a lot of differences.

2. Harry Potter Schoolbooks Box Set: From the Library of Hogwarts: Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, Quidditch Through The Ages, fun pair of books Rowling wrote a few years ago for charity.

3. Bookmarks for all four houses. Here's a pic:

My daughter got me these from The Noble Collection, a collectibles site. Lots of goodies there that I intend to spend way too much money on in the future.

1. The only thing I have that I think is especially cool
is a Hogwarts costume that I put together myself.

Gray pleated skirt, white shirt, gray and green tie, gray sweater, and choir robe. Plus my wand which I made out of a dowel and stained dark brown. :)

4. Other than the 7 books in hardcover,
I only have a deck of Harry Potter Uno Cards.

Ask me about my Star Trek memorabilia, though, and I'd have to 'fess up to quite a lot of weird things! :P

5. Looking forward to the Encyclopedia when it's published.
I often refer to this for information when I'm reading, especially for timelines:

http://www.hp-lexicon.org/index-2.html

It's very good, with heaps of useful info.

I read that the owner of this site is publishing his own book, and JKR is threatening to sue. Hers
would have to be more complete, but she'd better hurry up. There's definitely a market.

6. I would hope that Rowling's Potterpedia
would be something more than the Lexicon can offer. Don't get me wrong, the Lexicon is teh awesome, but the Lexicon is just a handy guide to the known Potterverse.

Rowling's book would hopefully include the back stories on everyone and provide teh new canon that the Lexicon book will not provide.

I think it's a bit lame of her to sue this dude, since the two books would be complimentary and sales of the Lexicon book could not possibly hurt sales of an "official" Potterpedia.

7. Still, she does own Potter and everything that goes with it,
so it's not surprising she'd do whatever it takes to protect it.

I just hope she doesn't "rest" for too long though. I want that book!

8. I know wallpaper doesn't really count,
but it's awfully nice to see this every time I turn on my computer:

11. Well, the Signals catalog arrived and I found the following.
Edited on Sun Nov-25-07 01:21 PM by CBHagman
For those of you who aren't in the United States and/or aren't on the mailing lists for supporters of public broadcasting, the Signals catalog contains all sorts of fun, beautiful, and/or offbeat items for readers, artsy types, fans of public broadcasting, and their ilk.

This year's holiday catalog has about two pages of Harry Potter stuff, including items I've never seen before, like a talking Sorting Hat and a sign for the Leaky Cauldron. Mind you, I have no money available to buy any of these things, but it's fun to look.

And no, I don't work for Signals or for public broadcasting. But I love these catalogs. Items are at the link below.

http://www.signals.com/cgi-bin/hazel.cgi?ACTION=SEARCH&SEARCH_MAXHITS=12&SEARCH_SPEC=Harry+Potter&submit.x=6&submit.y=7

On edit: I said there were two pages of Harry Potter items, but that's the print edition. The online catalog has three pages.
