Need help locating a piece of music
I heard this exquisite piece of music early this morning on MPR. Unfortunately, the MPR website still has yesterday's playlist up, so I'm not entirely certain what it was. It was a string quartet titled something to do with the death of Benjamin Britten and the composer was I think Arvo something starting with a P. I should have written it down immediately, but alas I didn't. Can anyone help me out? I would really like to get a recording of this. Thanks.

Cantus in Memory of Benjamin Britten. One reference here:

(Paart can also be spelled Part with an umlaut over the a.)

3. Thanks again for clueing me in.
I just got a CD today with the Cantus, two versions of Fratres, and Tabula Rasa. This music is transcendently beautiful.

4. If you don't know it, try also Paart's "Spiegl im Spiegl"....
... wonderful music for mediation.

5. Oh, that's a fantastic CD!
That was one of the first CDs I ever bought, and I bought it having no idea who in the hell Part was. I was immediately hooked, and have been a HUGE fan ever since!

had the chance to hear an all Part concert at BAM a number of years ago, including the Cantus in Memory of Benjamin Britten. WOW!!
