Don't know where to ask this. The last few weeks, I have
developed a strange quirk. When I type, the letters are out of order. I type hunt and peck but this is silly. Simple words like "put" come out "upt". Not just one or two words but many within the range of a paragraph or two. I'm beginning to think I've developed some strange affliction.

Now, I just went back and checked, this last paragraph had 5 words with letters scrambled. I tend to spell out as I type. I think I'm losing it, I know I should have my eyes examined but this is more than vision. Any thoughts other than that I am nuts? Maybe this is not worthy of posting, perhaps my age is catching up with me and I'm trying to blame it on something else.

1. I would go to a doctor and get checked out
something like that, which seems to have suddenly started may be a sign of other problems.

:hi:

2. I'm goiong to do something here
I'm going to type out this message and post it withoput editing for typos and misspellings. it could be that you are just trying to go too fats and your fingers can't keep up wioth your mind. I know that's what hap[pens to me. I also have fat finger syndrome. I type the same way you do and there are many toimes when I wish I could type proficiently. It would save me some time in both typoing and editing. Maybe you should gte uit checked out like the first poster said. There's certainly now harm in that and it will probably sewt your mind aty ease. Take care and let uis know how it works out.

3. Maybe that is it after all. Sure is annoying! The thing that
bothers me is the reverse of the letters. Fat fingers I understand, I'm always bumping into the next key. It is the upt for put type of stuff that has me a little concerned. Lots of stress in my life right now that could play a part in this, I suppose. If it goes on much longer I will go to the doc. Have to go anyway end of September.

Your post does look like mine, and you did a fine thing in making me feel a little better. Getting old really is for the birds.

I found several "next key" typo's in this post and a little of the reverse letters. That is the part that is of concern. Do you ever type in a hurry and while you are looking at the keyboard, hit the letter next to what you intended. I mean, I'm looking at the darn thing, for Pete's sake!

4. I type a lot, yy4me
I type so much that I rub the painted letters off of my keyboard keys. :) It sounds like I do the same kind of things that you do, but there is a difference. I've been doing it since I first began typing. Since you are just now starting to make a lot of typing mistakes that you haven't made in the past maybe you should ask a doc about it just to make sure. I think maybe one hand is just working a little faster than the other and that's the reason for the dyslexic typing. You're getting faster, but one hand hasn't quite caught up yet. But, by all means, since you have to go to the doctor anyway, ask him/her about it. I'm certainly no expert on the matter. Let us know what the doc says and take it easy.
